Went from bars that measured 17" down to 12" z bars. Also got rid of my return cable trying to clean the bars up. Have quite a bit of slack in the throttle twist now. Tried adjusting it but ran out of adjustment. Is there any way the cable itself is to long now? Thoughts? Thanks.

You can carefully cut off, with a cut off wheel in a die grinder 5/8 " off the carb end of the cable and install a cable saver same size as what was on the end your cutting off. That will take out the excessive freeplay and still leave you some. It's best to put the strand of cable in a vice not to tight with the amount you want to cut off sticking out the top. Cut the cable flush with the top and have your cable saver handy to install. The vice will help keep the stands from getting frayed the cable saver only works with a clean cut.Comment

Got to messin with it, was able to take the throttle body end of the cable and move it over the idle cable slot. Took most of the slack out of it. Deffinaty alot better than it was and about what it had originally.Comment
