Eliminating reserve tank, where to vent??

Bobber project::: So I’m eliminating the reserve tank on my 84 vt700. It has the main fuel line then a smaller 1/4 line slightly above it, guessing it’s a vent tube. How should I take care of that issue, just run a hose down?

I’d appreciate the advice!

Just block it off.
Tank should still breathe through the cap.
