      Time to look at making mudguard mounts so tyres needed to be mounted so I could check clearances and getting the fit right.

        Finished off a couple of jobs on the seat frame which now looks like this

        Drilled off the seat cover to frame - its a rubber Dunlop copy - and trial fitted the alloy rivets, then debured everything now the seat frame needs painting and then the rivets can be used in anger

          Next up mudguard mount, using the original frame mounts but making a bespoke bracket, this bike is bump start only so although its an ally mudguard the mounts need to be strong enough, the rear mudguard stay (not yet made....) is a steel tube type design and has a raised section so you can get your had round it to aid pushing or that's the hope

            Being bump start only this could be a fine excuse to make a powerful paddock starter which of course are handy for more than the one bike.

              Read my mind... been looking at kits to build one myself not got that far yet but its going to be super useful, try and always park on a hill / slope when you get to your destination......

                Been a while....
                Had a chance to do the grunt work on my petrol tank to get it ready for painting started off like this.

                Got it looking nice in the primer using my mates spray shop so he could keep an eye on me.....then he added the colour I put on some water slide transfers and then 3 coats of clear coat
