Thanks i should have added some info i was very lucky to find an original Rudge factory drawing of this Isle of Man TT oil tank. I think back then the bike had oil top ups during races and the double oil fills were to allow for the pits to be on different sides and still allow the mechanics to do the top ups.
I can only put 5 pictures up at a time so still a few more posts to go.......

This kept me busy part 7 - almost done now needs a quick rub down and some etch prime so it doesn't go rusty before it final paint.

                      Thanks

Next up after an epic fabrication session the rear wheel finally got treated to some spokes and a new alloy flanged rim + new wheel bearings

As the bike came with only the hubs no rims I had to use the Rudge factory info on wheel offset but with the wider rim being used I just need to mount the wheel up and check final alignment before fitting tyres etc, not too far a way from being a roller hopefully

I usually wait until the tranny is in place then align the sprockets with a laser or straight edge then lace center of frame to center of rim. In front where ever the brake stay wants to be then center to center. Having factory specs sounds great. Indians specs weren't trustworthy so I started doing it this way. With stuff this old I would at least check it this way.

Thanks Dusty could be good a plan, the Rudge has an arrangement where the brake plate is mounted to the frame like a quick release so it stays behind when the wheel is removed so need to factor this into any changes.

Ok so next up I wanted to upgrade the front suspension, as normal with this type of year bike you just have a coil spring to dampen the girder fork operation, I wanted something a bit more tuneable, its been made so it fits in the STD location and could be changed back for any specific race requirements when and if we get there.....

Finally selected the forged piston and new conrod & pin the crank is like a Harley so needs pressing apart to assemble the conrod- the conrod has an upgraded needle roller bearing so should be good for some spirited riding and an increased CR
