Can anyone ID this springer? Im trying to run it on my shovel but the stems too short. It also looks like previous owner punched that threaded bar down the center to make it longer and bolt up. Is there a better way to make this work?

It looks like a Harley one to me and they were trying to use the wrong top clamp.

Did you get the top clamp with it? Is that neck 1" diameter? It could be one of many repops. Might need to get a new neck post machined to fit it depending on the length of the neck post and your frame neck - might be able to replace the top nut with a shorter one to allow the top clamp to sit lower - did you get the top nut and crown nut with it?

There are new stems for sale on Ebay. I believe the original HD ones were braised in, with a big washer arc welded on the bottom for a wear plate. Perhaps a top clamp would be useful for centering the new stem.

Yeah 1 inch stem. and I think the bar down the middle of it is 5/8. It's just long enough to get past the bearings so I don't think a shorter nut would do it. Think im just gonna have to put a longer stem in it. Cheers
